Agreement with Robi

A lease agreement for Transmission Capacity services was signed between Bangla Phone Limited (BPL) and Robi Axiata Limited, a leading Mobile Phone Operator, on May 14, 2013. Under this agreement BPL is providing Dark OFC and end-to-end transmission connectivity with last-mile solution in the form of bandwidth capacity to Robi.

Agreement with Banglalion

An agreement for lease of Data Transmission Bandwidth Capacity was signed between Bangla Phone Limited and Banglalion Communications Limited, a Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) operator that provides WiMAX Internet services, on December 20, 2012. Under this agreement, BPL is providing Data bandwidth capacity to Banglalion throughout the country.

Agreement with Aamra

An agreement for lease of Transmission Bandwidth Capacity was signed between Bangla Phone Limited (BPL) and Aamra Technologies Limited, an IIG operator, on September 20, 2012. Through this agreement, BPL is providing Dhaka-Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar transmission bandwidth capacity to Aamra.

Agreement with Bangladesh Post Office

Bangla Phone Ltd. (BPL), along with its sister concern software firm Commlink Infotech Ltd. (CITL), forming a consortium, signed an agreement with Bangladesh Post Office (BPO) on September 13, 2012 for implementing the mobile money ‘Post e-Pay’ and e-commerce ‘Post e-Shop’ services on a turnkey basis and at no cost to the postal department. The Bangla Phone-Commlink consortium was awarded the project following an open bidding process. A revenue-sharing arrangement has been agreed upon under a “design–build–finance–operate” business partnership model.

Agreement with Teletalk for 3G

A Framework Contract Agreement was signed between Bangla Phone Limited (BPL) and Teletalk Bangladesh Limited, the first mobile operator to launch 3rd Generation (3G) mobile phone services in Bangladesh, on June 19, 2012. Under this agreement, BPL is providing transmission backhaul connectivity throughout the country for Teletalk’s 3G network.
